Liu Kuo-sung’s Work Featured in “Silent Artifacts, Whispering Histories: Conservation of Taiwanese Art from the NMH Collection” at the National Museum of History
The National Museum of History is presenting the exhibition “Silent Artifacts, Whispering Histories: Conservation of Taiwanese Art from the NMH Collection,” which showcases works of Taiwanese art from the museum’s collection, with a focus on the historical significance of the artifacts and the knowledge of their preservation and conservation.
The exhibits span from the Qing period and the Japanese colonial era to the postwar years, and are organized into three sections: “Piecing Together Art History,” “Unlocking Preservation through Science,” and “The Conservator's Prescription.” Among the featured works is “Which is Earth?” from Liu Kuo-sung’s Space Series.
